Chisel & Fine Alcohol Markers

★★★★☆4.4 (3,696)

Chisel & Fine Alcohol Markers is the workhorse end of our alcohol range: one ink, one tip system, and a colour ladder that runs from 48 to 168.

It comes in 6 sets, 48, 60, 80, 100, 120, 168 colours, from $15.99. In practice: every pen is double-ended, so the swap between tips is a flip of the hand; the ink stays open long enough to blend two colours into a gradient; the pigment is dense enough to read on a dark ground.

Bright, vibrant colors. Not many pastels

“Good quality and very vibrant. There aren’t many lighter colours in the 60 so be mindful of that if you prefer pastels. The blend easily but the ink dries quickly so you have to move fast. Overall, a great purchase for the price point. Wonderful for beginners.”

Not for advanced techniques, but for quick casual fun with a lot of pretty colors to choose from!

“I know I followed some affiliate link, but I honestly don't remember what or who. I am fairly new to alcohol markers because generally I've never been able to tolerate the strong smell! I loved my Sharpies, but eventually I had to give them away because they gave me headaches. I've tried a few generic brands of markers and a few name brands, but nothing like Copics or Prismacolor or other more "professional brands". I was going to use these mostly in marker-friendly coloring books, or to quickly fill in a coloring sheet faster than I could with colored pencils (which is actually my preferred coloring medium most of the time).”

great product overall!

“I really enjoyed this product so much. When I revived it all the colors weren’t organized but it didn’t matter because I was gonna do a marker swatch page organized them as I go! I loved using these definitely recommend! I’ll include some picture of them being organized for people who want to take the time to do the same :-) I have a couple of typos so just keep that in mind!”

Great starter markers, but I wish there were more pastel shades

“I bought these for coloring and overall I’ve been really happy with them. The dual tips are super convenient and the color selection is nice for the price. The markers lay down smoothly and blend reasonably well if you’re working quickly.”
